Our use of hosting for this purpose is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the portfolio available and secure (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Photographs, fonts, and page content load from this website. There is no advertising tracker or audience analytics script in this edition. Vimeo and YouTube players connect only after you choose to load a video.

Loading a player shares connection information, including your IP address and browser details, with that provider. It may use its own browser storage and process data outside the EEA. Vimeo is requested with its Do Not Track option, and YouTube uses its privacy-enhanced domain; these options do not prevent all data processing. You can instead open the video on the provider’s website.

The motion setting is saved locally so your choice can be remembered. The Back button and film list use temporary session storage to restore your place. These values are not sent to a server. The site works if browser storage is unavailable. Clearing this website’s stored data resets these preferences.

The email link opens your own email application. There is no contact form, user account, or payment checkout on this portfolio. We use the name, contact details and message you choose to send to answer your enquiry and discuss a possible collaboration. Providing this information is voluntary, but we need contact details to reply. Please send only information needed for the conversation.

If you request a quotation or a service on your own behalf, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). For other enquiries, including contact on behalf of a company, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to relevant business correspondence (Article 6(1)(f)).

Correspondence is kept in David’s Gmail account, provided by Google; it is not copied into a separate contact database or CRM. There is currently no routine or automatic email deletion and no fixed retention period. Emails therefore remain in the account without a scheduled deletion date.

Google provides the email service and processes data under its applicable terms and privacy policy, linked below. You can ask about the personal data held about you or request deletion where the legal conditions apply.
